Name:
Olive Cook
Lived:
1912 - 2002
Qualifications:

Cook described herself as a "painter by inclination", and indeed her art training was derived from an intimate association with the Old Masters while working at the National Gallery during the second world war, and a fortnight's course at Sir Cedric Morris's Benton End school in Hadleigh Much better known as a writer, (she wrote chiefly on art, architecture, and films) her work as an artist does reflect a deeply held passion, as well as a profound intellectual grasp of the subject.
