Ravilious Wood Blocks
RAVILIOUS WOOD BLOCKS We are delighted to announce the acquisition of 37 original wood engraving blocks made by Eric Ravilious for the Kyoch Press notebook in the 1930s. This was made possible by a generous grant of £12,000 from the Art Fund. In his short working life of only seventeen years Ravilous made just over 400 wood engravings, so this group makes up almost ten percent of his output, and it is to our great satifaction that they are now in a public collection.
