Splash in the Pant
Lithograph
The picture recalls an incident when Richard's parents and the Ravilious family were caught "skinny-dipping" in the River Pant just outside Great Bardfield. Even more entertaining is the fact that the policeman lived next door to the Bawden's home, Brick House. However Tirzah Ravilious wrote later that she did not really enjoy the episode, as she did not think she was beautiful enough to appear naked.
